BUILDINGS ASSOCIATED WITH FREEMASONS IN GREATER VICTORIA

617 Battery Street (originally 618 Dallas Road) was built in 1889 by contractor George Mesher for William MaCauley. It was purchased in 1892 by Dr. George Lawson Milne, who used it as his family residence. Both George Mesher and Dr. George Lawson Milne were members of Victoria-Columbia Lodge No. 1.
